How sleep is critical in the overall management of depression cure
depression self help begins with proper sleep patterns
As science learns more and more about the processes of the brain, and is willing to be open to the quantum physics side of science, there is a growing awareness that illness, especially depression behavior is an imbalance of the body, potentially caused by a belief pattern that we have had set up in our head. Bruce Lipton's, "Biology of Belief" and Candace Pert's, "Molecules of Emotion" are two of the best books at the moment to assist in the understanding of this awareness.
The cause of depression is excessive unresolved stress in the frontal lobe of the brain. Once humans go into fight or flight mode, the body moves from growth mode to survival mode.
In survival mode the frontal lobe, the thinking part of the brain, is shut down. the mind goes back to instinctive survival responses. All our energy is focussed in living rather than dying, no time to think about it.
As the links in the last paragraph explain, in fight or flight survival mode when the frontal lobe shuts down, logic goes out of the window, common sense ceases to exist. When we are unable to rationalise the fear factor can run riot, worst case scenarios are rife.
One of the processes that occur when one goes to sleep is the healing that is needed to rebalance the frontal lobe
